“THE LIFE AND PASSION OF A PERSON LEAVE AN IMPRINT ON THE ETHER OF A PLACE. LOVE DOES NOT REMAIN WITHIN THE HEART, IT FLOWS OUT TO BUILD SECRET TABERNACLES IN A LANDSCAPE.“

is an artist, poet and herbalist. Her inspiration for writing and art come from observation and solitude. It is an essential art form; the act of witnessing, remembering and making moments and stories in daily life, known or sacred.
Jesse has lived close to the land in a small community in Vermont, exploring, swimming in rivers, hiking in forests, climbing mountains and wildcrafting. Through deepening her understanding of those places, she discovered parts of herself.
She studied with various herbalists and became aware of the contribution native peoples made in their early findings of plants and their medicine. Their ways of honoring seasons, the four directions, the land and its inhabitants, are essential values to Jesse. This is what her current art and poetry is influenced by.
NOW AVAILABLE
NATIVE is focused on native peoples
and also the indigenous quality of
being human within nature.
It is imperative that we go about the task of creating an alternative society and a culture that is interconnected with nature now, and that we look to our artists for a multiplicity of images that will enable us to transform the world before it’s too late.”
